No Hungry Child

No child should go to bed hungry.

A structured nutritious meal programme designed to help NGOs establish and operate local meal centres for underprivileged children.

The programme

Nutritious meals, delivered locally through NGOs

No Hungry Child is focused on providing nutritious, hygienic and dignified meals to underprivileged children. The programme works through participating NGOs and local implementation centres so that meals can be prepared and served close to the children who need them.

The current initiative identifies and supports suitable NGOs that can implement the programme in their locations. The participating NGO leads local implementation, child identification, centre readiness and day-to-day discipline, while the programme team provides defined guidance and support.

Why it matters

A dependable meal routine — not a one-time distribution

Nutrition for growth

Children need regular access to nutritious food to support healthy growth and learning.

Local kitchens

A local kitchen and organised distribution system creates a dependable meal routine.

Standards & monitoring

The programme combines food, hygiene, dignity, documentation and monitoring.

How the model works

From interest to launch

  1. NGO expresses interest and submits its profile and required documents.
  2. The programme team reviews the NGO and implementation location.
  3. The NGO identifies or secures suitable premises and prepares the kitchen-centre plan.
  4. Kitchen equipment quotations and implementation requirements are finalised.
  5. The NGO identifies the intended beneficiary children (with safeguarding & privacy care).
  6. The centre is prepared and the programme is launched after approval.
  7. Operational support/disbursements follow the approved process and documentation.
  8. The NGO submits bills, records and programme reports for review and subsequent releases.

Important: Expressing interest or submitting an application does not itself constitute programme approval or a funding commitment.
